Component Testing System: Streamline Your Project with a Turnkey Long-Stroke Linear Actuator System, Designed for Component Testing

Challenge

An aerospace component test system machine builder needed a long-stroke actuator and control system for a project. They did not want to use hydraulic cylinder actuators on the machine at the request of their customer. In addition, they wanted a turnkey actuation system with everything integrated and set up by the actuation supplier.

Kyntronics Solution

  • “Total Solution” consisting of a long-stroke electric linear actuator including drive, control, and HMI in a floor-standing enclosure. Factory-tuned with VBA test software to operate the test system.
  • Installed and integrated customer-supplied Elmo drives and Modicon PLC within our control panel.
  • Connected the Elmo drives & other diagnostics to automatically generate an ATR (Acceptance Test Report).

  • Long-stroke linear actuators with position and force feedback and closed-loop control streamlined the test cycle and provided automatic reporting.
  • Kyntronics provided a complete turnkey system tested, tuned, and ready to install, which simplified the project for the test equipment manufacturer.
