Challenge

A leading manufacturer of mobile construction equipment needed to improve the efficiency of a scissor lift used to position metal panels for fabrication. The existing manual method of adjusting the lift table slowed productivity and required significant operator effort. To overcome this, the customer sought a scissor lift automation solution that could integrate with the dual cylinders already installed on the lift, delivering precise and repeatable automatic table positioning.

Kyntronics Solution

  • Compact Servo Power Unit Total Solution consisting of the servo power unit (SPU) with drives and control in an enclosure, factory tuned and tested.
  • Integrated with customer-supplied scissor lift table dual cylinders and Temposonics position feedback sensor for closed-loop position control with 0.010” accuracy.
  • Kyntronics controller interfaced to Allen-Bradley PLC using EthernetIP.
