Challenge

A manufacturer of backup power generation equipment was introducing a new metal forming press that required 60 tons (120,000 lbs.) of pressing force. Traditional hydraulics were not an option due to a company-wide initiative to eliminate hydraulic systems and align with sustainability goals. The sustainable actuator solution also needed to integrate seamlessly with Rockwell Automation servo motors and drives to ensure standardization across the facility.
