Challenge

A consumer products packaging machine builder wanted to remove hydraulic cylinder actuators on their blister packaging machine, die-cutting press with a servo actuator that would operate more cleanly, be more energy efficient, and provide higher-precision die-cuts. They ruled out electro-mechanical actuators due to the shock loads in the die-cut station.
