Challenge
An electric vehicle manufacturer required a low-profile pair of scissor lift actuators that could be synchronized for an automated material handling equipment AGV capable of lifting 4,600 lbs. Hydraulics were not an option, and a screw-type actuator was ruled out to the highly concentrated loading that would cause reliability issues.
