Applications requiring long-stroke actuators [greater than 36” (914 mm) stroke] create unique challenges for the machine designer including greater deflection, reduction in precision and higher costs.

Kyntronics long-stroke electro-hydraulic actuators address these issues at a far lower cost than ball screw / roller screw actuators and are available in significantly longer stroke lengths up to 120” (3,048 mm) as standard. Kyntronics long-stroke actuators include precision linear position sensors for precise control.

The SHA includes special design features for long-stroke applications that increase the robustness of the actuator such as larger diameter rods, thicker cylinder tube walls, internal tube stops, greater rod bearing length and thicker tie rods.
