Business Development / Sales Engineer
Cleveland area-based Actuation Products manufacturer has an immediate opening for a Business Development Person to support the sales and opportunity development efforts for Kyntronics unique Servo Hydraulic Products. This is a hands-on role, directly promoting innovative technology solutions into multiple vertical market segments and territories.
Reports to: VP/GM - Kyntronics
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with organizing & supporting the sales channels with joint sales calls
- Assist with recruiting, training, and developing our Sales Channel Network of Representatives & Distributors
- Assist with lead generation using various marketing tools including Hubspot
- Develop & execute targeted growth strategies
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities through direct efforts, sales channels and other lead generation tools using effective proposals and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Applications Engineering to develop customer solutions including professional proposal generation, customer presentation and closing business opportunities.
- Actively seek, develop, and maintain new business opportunities with new and current customers.
- Ensure the voice of the customer (VOC) is communicated throughout the organization and is a critical input into new products and customer solutions.
- Identify and attend key trade shows focused on cultivating new business opportunities.

- Willing and able to travel regularly (25% - 50%).
- Excellent communications and inter-personal skills (verbal and non-verbal) -- including the key trait of listening and understanding customer issues.

- Excellent computer skills and highly proficient using Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent applicable experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience successfully selling highly engineered products both directly and through sales channels is required. Experience with mechatronic solutions is preferred.
- Experience with Motion Control products and/or Hydraulic Systems and markets are highly preferred.
- Proven track record of sales achievements including new product sales into new markets.
- Strong professional references.
