A press builder of seal presses, bearing presses and assembly presses had a tier-one automotive customer that wanted to eliminate hydraulics while improving force and position accuracy, performing quality process verification and data capture with their pressing processes. This couldn’t be done with a screw-type actuator due to shock loading.
