Challenge

A material handling equipment machine builder for the construction industry had issues with a rack and pinion design for a material delivery platform lift. They required a solution with positioning actuators synchronized to 0.010” accuracy that didn’t use hydraulics and could handle the force loading requirements that an EMA couldn’t achieve.
