Shipboard Panel Lift System
Challenge:
A military customer required a retrofit for a lifting actuation system on a heavy panel. The application required fast extend and retract times and have special features such as manual operation, redundancy, and synchronization. It also needed to attach to their existing cylinders.
Kyntronics Solution:
- Servo Power Unit (SPU) solution with two banks of five SPUs and operator HMI with software; connects with existing lifting actuation cylinders
- Ability to manually operate the system in the event of a power outage
- Service one or more Servo Power Units while keeping the system in operation
- Synchronized speed across both five-SPU banks
